No-ctoberfest!
It's fall except that it's like 80 freaking degrees. I'm not sure what the hell is up, but I vaguely remember from Biology 111 that leaves change colors because of low overnight temperatures in the fall. Without said chilly evenings, the trees remain green.
Alas.
One thing that is more disturbing than the foliage's late arrival is the fact that Katie Holmes has a (hot Cruise*) bun in the oven. Needless to say, this is a huge surprise for those of us who looked up to Katie as a role model for saving your virginity until your hasty marriage to an insane cult member. Now we must strive instead for getting knocked up by said cult member out of wedlock. Far more difficult. Especially considering how many cult members undergo voluntary castration.
Whenever I park my car in Harvard Square, I wind up with a flier under my wiper that informs me that "Psychology is Bad Medicine and Junk Science" and tells me to contact my local Scientology center for more information. I say fuck you to that piece of paper and tear it into little pieces. My shrink thinks it's a very healthy response. Cathartic and whatnot.
Oh, how I wish the leaves would change!
